Site planning, site design and landscape architecture services are provided by raSmith for the new Wellness + Recreation Center at Marquette University, Milwaukee.
The raSmith designers make up part of the Marquette University design team, which also includes HOK Architects, Workshop Architects, and Marquette University’s Facilities Planning and Management Team.
The master plan for Marquette University was completed in the fall 2016. It recommended a number of high-impact projects that would increase the university’s opportunities. One of these was the creation of a Wellness + Recreation Centre on campus.
The recreation component of the project will include spaces for physical training. The wellness program will provide support for the campus through clinical outreach.
The Wellness + Recreation Centre will cover approximately 195,000 square feet. It is estimated that the project cost will be around $100 million. The spring 2023 ground breaking is planned, with the project opening in the 2025 spring semester.
